Back At One Media (BAOM) is the trading name used by Dr Oma Eguara, a sole trader in England. Your Next Chapter Journey (YNC) is an initiative operated through BAOM. This notice explains how personal information is collected and used across BAOM activities, including YNC. It applies to visitors, subscribers, customers, members, participants, contributors and people who contact us.

We use personal information to respond to requests, deliver resources and services, administer purchases and memberships, communicate with people who have opted in, support safe participation, meet legal duties and improve our work. We do not sell personal information.

Please read this notice alongside any service-specific information, such as event registration terms, community guidance or recording permissions. Those documents may explain particular activities in greater detail.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

The data controller is Dr Oma Eguara trading as Back At One Media (BAOM), a sole trader based in England, United Kingdom. BAOM determines why and how personal information is used for the activities described in this notice.

BAOM includes Your Next Chapter Journey, Before Your Next Chapter (BYNC), the YNC Guide and Journal, YNC Circle, BAOM publishing and associated education, training, coaching, speaking, creative and community activities where BAOM is the provider. This notice does not automatically apply to an unrelated organisation simply because we collaborate with it.

For privacy enquiries, access requests or complaints, use https://YourNextChapterJourney.com/contact and mark the message “Privacy enquiry”.
You can also request a postal correspondence address through that form.

3. What information may we collect?

3.1 Information you provide

· Name, email address, postal address or telephone number where needed to respond, book or deliver a service.

· Subscription choices, correspondence, resource requests and email engagement preferences.

· Order, booking, invoice, refund and membership records, including payment status and plan information; payment-card details are normally processed by the relevant payment provider.

· Member profiles, community contributions, questions, prayer requests, messages and files you choose to share.

· Event participation, access or adjustment requests, feedback, testimonials and voluntary survey responses.

· Photographs, audio or video recordings where relevant and appropriately explained.

· Complaints, safeguarding concerns or incident reports where received.

3.2 Information collected automatically or from others

When you use our websites or online services, the relevant technology providers process technical information such as IP addresses, device and browser details, server logs and cookie choices. Depending on the service and your settings, we receive information about form submissions, subscriptions, account activity or service use. We also receive information from third-party service providers when needed to administer an enquiry, purchase, membership or event.

4. Sensitive information and faith-rooted activities

Participation in YNC Circle and other faith-rooted activities may reveal religious or philosophical beliefs. Prayer requests, accessibility requests, personal reflections and safeguarding matters may also reveal health, disability or other special-category information under UK data protection law. We ask participants not to disclose more than they are comfortable sharing, especially in group settings.

Special category information receives additional protection under UK data protection law. We identify an applicable lawful basis under Article 6 of the UK GDPR and an additional condition under Article 9 before processing such information. For voluntary disclosures, explicit consent may be appropriate; where a serious concern or legal obligation arises, another lawful condition may apply. We limit access to sensitive records and do not ask members to disclose unnecessary personal histories.

YNC Circle is designed for adults aged 18 and over. Applicants do not need to disclose detailed health, trauma, religious or gender histories to take part. Members are encouraged to share only what they are comfortable sharing, recognising that other members can see contributions in shared spaces.

5. Why we use information and the lawful bases

We use information only for identified purposes and lawful bases. If we need to use it for a materially different purpose, we provide further information and obtain consent where required.

6. BYNC downloads and Hostinger Reach emails

When you request Before Your Next Chapter (BYNC) through our website form, we collect the details you submit, including your email address and, where requested, your first name. The current signup also subscribes you to YNC email communications, as explained on the form. We use Hostinger Reach to deliver these messages and administer your subscription.

Marketing emails contain an unsubscribe option. You can withdraw consent at any time. We keep a minimal suppression record where needed to honour an unsubscribe request.

Our website form explains the subscription arrangement before submission. We use the submitted details for the purposes described there and in this notice.

7. YNC Circle and community spaces

YNC Circle uses a third-party community platform, currently Skool. The platform may process account information and technical data under its own terms and privacy information. BAOM may access membership details, posts, comments, participation records and relevant administrative information needed to operate the Circle.

Other members may see your display name, profile and material you post in shared spaces. During live sessions, participants may see or hear information you choose to share. Members are expected to respect confidentiality, but BAOM cannot guarantee the conduct of every participant or prevent every screenshot or unauthorised disclosure.

Circle activities are not therapy or an emergency response service. Safeguarding and conduct concerns may require restricted recording, escalation or disclosure where lawful and necessary.

8. Events, photography, audio, video and testimonials

We may collect registration and attendance details for online and in-person activities. We will explain if a session is to be photographed, filmed or recorded and what material may be used for, including private administration, member resources or public promotion. Where consent is required, we will seek a clear and specific choice and provide a practical way to decline participation in optional publicity.

When we ask to use an identifiable photograph, recording or testimonial for publicity, we explain its intended use and obtain appropriate permission. We explain how to withdraw permission and any limits on removing material already published or lawfully used.

9. Purchases, payments and third-party retailers

When you buy books through Amazon or another retailer, that retailer generally handles its own checkout and customer data under its privacy terms. BAOM may receive limited sales or reporting information, and will use personal customer information only if it is actually provided to us for an identified purpose. Membership or event payment providers may supply BAOM with transaction status, billing information and fraud-prevention details; we do not ordinarily receive full card numbers.

10. Who we share information with

We may share relevant information with hosting and website providers, Hostinger Reach, Skool, payment processors, booking and video-conferencing providers, cloud storage and technical-support providers; authorised contractors or facilitators; accountants, insurers and legal advisers; and public authorities or safeguarding agencies where disclosure is lawful and necessary. We share only what is relevant to the purpose.

Providers may act as processors working on our instructions or as independent controllers for their own services. We do not sell personal information or share member contact details with unrelated businesses for their independent marketing.

Key services used for YNC include Hostinger for website hosting and forms, Hostinger Reach for email subscriptions, and Skool for the online Circle. Retailers such as Amazon handle customer checkout information for purchases made on their own platforms. Other providers are identified when relevant to a particular service or booking.

When you follow links to external websites or use third-party services, we encourage you to read their privacy notices, as their handling of personal information may differ from ours.

11. International transfers

Some third-party services process or allow access to information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK law treats a transfer as restricted, we use an applicable adequacy arrangement or another lawful transfer mechanism, as required. Contact us if you would like information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

12. How long we retain information

We keep information for no longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes described, taking account of legal and accounting obligations, disputes, safeguarding, security and platform limitations. The table below sets out our general retention approach. Individual records may be retained for a different period where a specific legal or safeguarding reason applies.

13. Security and data breaches

BAOM uses proportionate measures intended to protect personal information, including restricted access, secure accounts, appropriate service providers, backups and procedures for handling incidents. No online system can guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach occurs, we will assess and document it, notify the Information Commissioner’s Office when legally required and inform affected people where the legal threshold is met.

14. Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to be informed; access your information; correct inaccurate information; request erasure or restriction; receive certain data in a portable form; object to some processing, including direct marketing; and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Rights are not absolute, and lawful exceptions may apply. You may contact us through the website Contact page to exercise a right. We may ask for reasonable evidence of identity and normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions.

15. Cookies and similar technologies

15.1 What they do

Cookies, pixels, local storage, scripts and related technologies may support website security, form submission, remembered choices, analytics, embedded media and marketing. Some are essential for a service requested by a visitor; others may require prior consent or another specific statutory exception.

15.2 Cookie choices and controls

Essential technologies support core website functions. Where non-essential cookies or similar technologies require consent, we request it before using them. You can manage cookie choices through any controls available on the website and through your browser settings. Disabling certain technologies may affect website features.

15.3 Cookie categories

The precise cookies and storage technologies used can change when we update the website or add embedded services. Information about cookie purposes and available choices is provided through the website’s cookie controls where applicable. If you need further details about a particular technology, contact us using the privacy enquiry route.

16. Children and vulnerable people

YNC Circle is intended for adults aged 18 and over. BAOM activities involving young people, where offered, require activity-specific privacy and safeguarding information, age-appropriate arrangements and any necessary parental or guardian involvement. We seek to limit the collection of sensitive information and apply additional safeguards when circumstances require.

17. Automated decisions and AI tools

We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means. We may use digital tools for routine administration, drafting or security, with appropriate human review. We do not intentionally submit confidential Circle reflections, prayer requests or safeguarding records to public AI tools for unrelated use.

18. Questions and complaints

Please contact BAOM using https://YourNextChapterJourney.com/contact and mark the message as a privacy enquiry. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office: https://ico.org.uk. You do not need to contact BAOM before approaching the ICO.

19. Changes to this notice

We review this notice when our activities, technology, providers or legal obligations change.
We publish the updated version with its effective date on the BAOM or YNC website and provide additional notice where a change materially affects individuals.
